promotions) Beauty Fashion is required reading. Retail coverage is nationwide,

Actor - Hugh Jackman
As Ines Mendoza explains, Hugh Jackman is a gentleman and a supremely gracious
ambassador for Australian culture. He is a massive Hollywood A-list celebrity,
and unlike many Aussie superstars prefers to live in Melbourne between musicals
and movie productions. With an impressive body of work - not to mention an
impressive body - the 6'2" tall New South Welshman goes under the microscope.
Model - Ana Beatriz Barros
It's not enough that the Brazilian's have won the Soccer World Cup over five
times, but also that the country is home to a good portion of the World's most

than any other, due to their highly sought-after 'look'. Sara Templeton checks
out one of the most beautiful: Ana Barros.
Model - Sabrina Ferilli

drivers or pop singers. Sung Hi Lee comes from this very same mould but her
childhood things weren't always so rosy...
Model - Annalise Braakensiek
We've had a few letters complaining about the lack of local models profiled

made her name on the cult series Pizza.
Model - Tatiana de los Rios

shaking things up even further...
Model - Bridget Hall
She likes wakeboarding, snowboarding, videogames, and has been known for her
utterly wild party antics and her intimate relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio,

an extreme sportswoman and party animal, having appeared on the cover of Cosmo
almost as much as Claudia Schiffer.
Designer - Issey Miyake
Born in Japan during the late '30s, Issey Miyake got his first taste of Western
culture when the USA occupied the small island nation after detonating a nuclear
warhead over Hiroshima in WWII. Today, Miyake is one of the most revered fashion

in the 1990s, which is now a staple fashion trend coming and going every other
year.
Actor - Mischa Barton
Born in 1986 in London, Mischa Barton is best known for her role in the TV teen

Calvin Klein among others.

discovered.
Model - Frankie Rayder
With one of the most transfixing stares in the industry, not to mention one of
the most photogenic bodies ever to be draped over a half-submerged row boat,
it's no wonder that North American model Francesca Rayder has worked for all the
biggest fashion houses in London, New York, Milan and Paris. A legitimate leader
in her field, she's dabbled in film, but modeling appears to be her true calling
as fashion reporter Sara Templeton discovered.
Model - Petra Nemcova
As one of the most beautiful European models to grace the pages of the Sports
Illustrated swimsuit edition, Petra Nemcova is also reputed to be one of the
nicest. She's dated James Blunt and modeled for Max Factor, but as Sara
Templeton explains, the life and times of this Czech model have also been laced
with sorrow. Though she survived the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in Thailand with a
broken pelvis, she lost her fiancé.

tips, your lips will say precisely what you want." Want more pout, more shine,
more body? Start by giving dry and flaky lips the brush-off and add "brushing
your lips" using a soft toothbrush or terry toweling washcloth. Follow this by
lip balm to smooth the way for lipstick-worthy lips, and you're on your way.
Model - Julie Ordon
Having been spotted with the likes of Benicio Del Toro, Mark Whalberg and
Stephen Dorff, Julie Ordon has a penchant for Hollywood movie spunks. Having

and as Ines Mendoza explains, the stunning Swiss superstar has dabbled in spot
of acting in addition to her modeling.
Beauty - Exfoliation: Skin Care
Beauty expert Cristina Masci gives us the low down on exfoliation, saying that
by removing the top layer of dead skin cells, you can make your skin look
smoother and less wrinkled: "Approximately every three weeks, new skin cells
push up from the lowest layers of the epidermis and move towards the surface
changing shape as they go. Exfoliation helps this process by giving the dead
skin cells a push."

fashion world instead, as Sara Templeton reports.

One of the highest paid top models in the world, Ana Claudia Michels knows how
to pose in front of a lens. But unlike many of the world's most recognisable
visages, Ana wasn't discovered by a talent scout and didn't win a modeling comp.
Quelle horreur! Different from the norm in more ways than one, her big break is
a rather mudane story of simply signing up the old fashioned way. If it ain't
broke...
Actor - Ben Stiller
Ben Stiller is best known for his acting credits, but he's also a writer,
director and producer. Some say his expanded title of all-round Hollywood mogul
was borne from a frustration with Hollywood's 'powers that be' who thought his
material was too risqué. Others say that he's just a talented performer with the
kind of business acumen that's rare in entertainers. Sara Templeton filed this
report in which she lays out the facts to let you decide.
Beauty - Identifying Your Skin Type
Washing your skin and slapping on a moisturiser afterwards is all well and good,

other products, do make sure that it is suitable for your skin type," says
beauty expert Cristina Masci, who identifies the five major skin types and how
to keep them healthy.

style of dress and the accompanying veil need to be flamboyant.
Model - Alessandra Ambrosio
Brazilian top model Alessandra Ambrosio is arguably one of the world's most
strikingly beautiful women and is well and truly in the minority of top models
who actually wanted to work in the industry from the word go, as opposed to
being scouted or 'plucked' from obscurity by a well-meaning but slightly pervy
'model scout'. Alessandra did the hard yards, entered a modeling competition as
a teenager and the rest, as the cliche goes, is history.

and blonde hair, as Sara Templeton discovered.

explains with 10 useful pre-wedding day tips: "If you are really stressed out
consider having a relaxing massage once a week for a month and also a day before
the wedding."
Model - Karen Elson
Unfortunately, it's almost human nature for many people to make those who are
'different' to feel out of place. Sometimes its based on physical differences,
other times it's based on a difference of belief, but whichever way it manifests
itself, it's often hurtful. Karen Elson experienced this first-hand as a
youngster when at school, but as Sara Templeton explains in this profile, the
times are changing, and 'different' is now in high demand.
Designer - Tommy Hilfiger
Born in a rural area of New York state, Thomas Hilfiger was selling 'hippie'

easy.

Frazzled fashion reporter Sara Templeton profiles the life and times of the
stunningly attractive Fernanda Motta, a top model of Brazilian stock who was
discovered at a popular beach in Brazil when she was just a teenager. And
according to the author's theory, the reason behind Fernanda's incredible beauty
- and that of many Brazilians - is due to the naturally occuring elements that
are bonded to each and every grain of sand at a very popular beach.
Beauty - The Joy of Bathing
Somtimes, even the thought of soaking in a fragrant, tranquil bath can be enough

fantasy location and enjoy a relaxing bath without harming your skin." Cristina
lists a number of easy tips that will improve your bathing experiences and your
skin texture.
Model - Natalia Vodianova
As Sara Templeton explains, it wasn't that long ago that the most common phrase
for fashion writers was "Another day, another Brazilian bombshell..." But as the
world is constantly changing, with new trends ensuring what was once hot is now
very passé, Russia appears to be emerging as the 'new' Brazil, with more and
more models from the eastern European country rising to prominence in the often
cut-throat fashion industry. This week we profile the stunning Russian, Natalia
Vodianova.

Ines Mendoza profiles the man who doesn't tolerate fools, describing him in good
old 'Strine as a "dead set legde".
Athletes - World Cup Troika
Ines Mendoza has gone football World Cup crazy: "I mean, what's not to like?
They score a goal and then proceed to take their clothes off." She looks at
three of the world's highest profile players in the form of Australia's golden
boy, Timmy Cahill, England's pillar of pop, David Beckham, and Brazil's
up-and-coming replacement for Cafu, the cheekily named Cicinho.
Model - Caroline Winberg
Born in Sweden in 1985, Caroline Winberg's biggest claim to fame should be her

and rolls most famous faces...

companies including Revlon, and the action star of such hits as The Fifth
Element, Resident Evil and Ultraviolet, there is almost nothing this stunning
girl can't conquer. Sara Templeton and Ines Mendoza report.
Socialites - The Hilton Sisters
Were it not for the Hilton sisters, the tabloid rags would be filled with
crosswords and little else. These girls - but mostly elder sister Paris - have a
notorious reputation for attracting attention wherever they go, sometimes good,
most times bad. Sara Templeton and Ines Mendoza look at the life and times of
two of the world's richest 20-somethings.

still very much a surfie at heart. |
